Dwipen Boruah is a graduate in mechanical engineering and a postgraduate in renewable energy from Oldenburg University, Germany. He has earned more than 32 years of experience in renewable energy planning, project implementation, consultancy, and capacity building. He has been working on engineering design, development, implementation, feasibility, and techno-economic due diligence of large grid-connected PV power projects, off-grid PV and hybrid system design and optimization, rural electrification through mini/micro grid projects, capacity building strategy, planning for developing solar cities and green campus.
He has authored and co-authored books and training manuals on solar PV system design installation, maintenance, and inspection; more than 70 technical and professional reports; and several publications and papers in technical magazines and journals.
He has experience working with several local, regional, national, and multilateral organisations in several countries and has proven knowledge of different renewable energy technologies, barriers for deployment, methods, and approaches applied in the field of technology roadmaps.
