Dr. Mitra holds a PhD in electrical engineering from the University of Kassel, a Master’s in renewable energy from the University of Oldenburg and an MBA in energy management from the University of Calcutta. He has over 27 years of professional experience working in energy efficiency as well as renewable energy related aspects. Before joining IT Power India, he has served GIZ India, The Cyprus Institute, Fraunhofer IEE, The Energy and Resources Institute among others. He is interested in a broad spectrum of topics related to energy-environment-sustainable development nexus. His particular focus is on renewable energy, energy transition, sector coupling, smart grid, integration of vRE and EV charging infrastructure as well as distributed energy resources into the electrical network, and energy modeling.
