Project: The project involved exploring and enabling the concept of land-neutral PV projects in Kerala by diligent assessment and suitable development activities towards a more matured status. Thus pre-feasibility study of land-neutral PV was needed to understand the same.
Our role: ITP India was a local partner to the consultant GOPA-International Energy Consultants GmbH for the pre-feasibility work. The following tasks were taken up:-
- Techno-economic assessment of canal top and floating PV power projects from all aspects
- Appraisal of lessons learned from similar projects
- Identification of actual project opportunities and their evaluation
- Assessing the energy yield from land-neutral PV technologies and comparing the same with land based PV technologies.
