10th batch of DBcertiC™ to start from July 16th 2018

10th batch of DBcertiC™ to start from July 16th 2018

ITP India has been offering DBcertiC™ – A 4-week online certification course on DesignBuilder since November 2016. With completion of the ninth batch of DBcertiC™, a total of 38 participants have completed the course. The 10th batch will start from July 16th 2018.

DesignBuilder is globally preferred building performance analysis software which is ideal for use in building energy simulation because of its easy-to-use interface. DBcertiC™ is an interactive online certification program for architects, engineers and energy assessors to enhance their knowledge of building physics, psychrometric and weather analysis, natural ventilation, daylighting and solar integration in the building. This course assists the participants to do energy simulation of buildings and interpret the results using DesignBuilder software.

Registration for the next batch of DBcertiC™ will complete by July 16th 2018. Click here

ITP India organized a training program on “Energy Efficiency Simulation Software – DesignBuilder”

ITP India organized a training program on “Energy Efficiency Simulation Software – DesignBuilder”

ITP India organized a training program on “Energy Efficiency Simulation Software – DesignBuilder” for the senior engineers and staff of relevant organizations including Ministry of Energy and Water, Ministry of Urban Development and Housing, Ministry of Defence, Kabul University, Kabul Polytechnic University, Herat University, Balkh University and Kabul Municipality. The program was implemented by GIZ, Afghanistan at New Delhi from 01st to 07th December 2017. The objective of the training programme was to train professionals and prospective trainers on DesignBuilder software and assure that they can install and simulate any building considering energy efficiency measures including HVAC, Daylighting, EMS, CFD, LEED and cost optimization.

ITP India is proud to be associated with two of the largest (40 MW Hybrid-on-grid solar and 20 MW solar) upcoming solar PV projects in Afghanistan.

ITP India is proud to be associated with two of the largest (40 MW Hybrid-on-grid solar and 20 MW solar) upcoming solar PV projects in Afghanistan.

The bidding for Design- Build a 40 MW hybrid-on- grid solar for Hisar-E-Shahi industrial park and Design, Build, Operate a 20 MW solar power plant at Naglu have been announced by the National Procurement Authority of Afghanistan. ITP India conducted the feasibility analysis and design optimisation using HOMER software for the first project, and the economic and financial analysis for the second project under the ADB-TA on Renewable Energy Development in Afghanistan. The construction on both these projects is expected to start in 2018.

ITP India participated and made a presentation at the Practitioners’ Platform 2017, Dhaka

ITP India participated and made a presentation at the Practitioners’ Platform 2017 – Regional Platform for Sharing and Learning “Renewable Energy – Challenges and Opportunities” organised by IDCOL and KfW in Dhaka, Bangladesh from 19 – 21 November, 2017.

The focus of the workshop was to create a platform of practitioners from South Asia, Southeast Asia and East Asia as well as Germany in order to examine various aspects of Renewable Energy technologies with emphasis on implementation of projects, through policy & regulatory measures as well as technology and market development.

Dr. Akanksha Chaurey made a presentation on “Design, optimization and innovations in mini-grids”. The presentation highlighted the importance of mini-grids in meeting the requirements of electricity to all by 2030. It covered discussions on smart management practices and grid-connectivity options in the design and operation of state-of-the-art mini-grids. The presentation also discussed a tool to decide why and how to select a mini-grid over other options of grid-scale or stand-alone solar home systems. Finally, it presented a case-study of optimization of mini-grids using HOMER. All of the above is based on recent assignments of ITP India.
